Our sightseeing begin with Altotting is Germany’s most famous Marian shrine, receiving over a million pilgrim each year. Home to the “Black Madonna,” the town is referred as the “Heart of Bavaria” and the Chapel of Grace, a small building in the Baroque chapel Square, is its spiritual center. We will also, visit St. Konrad monastery and St Anna Basilica in Altotting. We cap our tour with a visit of the monumental cyclorama “Jerusalem Panorama Crucifixion of Christ” 1903 in Altotting. This afternoon we drive to Marktl, this market town is the birthplace of Pope Benedict XVI you will see the church where he was baptized on the day he was born on Easter Saturday, 1927. We return via Neuotting to Altotting for Dinner and overnight.
